Alcohol after brachytherapy

Hi all

Just home from having seeds implanted yesterday.

Just wondering if it is ok to drink alcohol (in moderation) in the days/weeks after brachytherapy.

Tried to find the answer online but havent been able to find any advice.

As with my ‘resuming racketball‘ post yesterday, any thoughts welcome.

Thanks!

Laurence

Morning Lawrence.
My husband had seed Brachytherapy and I don't remember any advice about not drinking.

He doesn't drink much anyway, maybe a can of bitter a day with his lunch if it's warm like currently.

I should think in moderation it would be fine, depending on what medication, if any, you are on

As for your other post regarding exercise, again, nothing too strenuous. It might not be major surgery but your body has still been invaded and will be bruised.

Hi

My husband had brachytherapy in 2015 and still enjoys a drink.  He did have a bit of an issue around about 4 months after treatment when he had an issue controlling his bladder at night if he had a drink but it soon settled after a few weeks.
