Prostate harder on one side.

I know how you feel about he stress and f the next PSA test. Hope it shows another drop.

It was 31 Celsius here yesterday and didn’t drop below 20 overnight. Unusually high for  here, difficult to sleep. High humidity too.

I get my next test around end September, beginning of October.

Take care,

Now the specialist has said that I'll need annual dre's. Too much conflicting advice. I'll forget it for a while. Maybe a year after rt, or a year after biopsy which included a dre, or a year after initial diagnosis, etc. I think I'll opt for a year after rt finished, if at all. My Dr said it's unnecessary as the prostate will be different. And so it goes on. I shall concentrate on keeping calm in the lead up to root canal work next week. Expensive..... Oh well, it must be done. Sorry, I'm ranting on a bit. Getting fed up.

I've posted on other sites, but I'll update here anyway. If I've already done it, I'm sorry! PSA dropped from 3.1 to 2.9 after about 4 months. Specialist ok with that and said to wait until March next year. And have an annual DRE too. He discharged me again and referred to me as 'this poor man' in the report to my Dr! So, I will shut up now. Oh, LynEyre suggested on another site that as I was back on testosterone injections, that could be a reason for the small drop last time. Thanks LynEyre. I don't know, I have to accept what the experts tell me. As long as they all say the same thing.

Enough! It's almost time for the rugby World Cup final. Go England! (No All Blacks playing now of course.)

And now it's mid January. A year ago I was half way through the radiotherapy. Starting to freak out over the next PSA test already, due early March. Probably worried because it dropped only by .2 last September. Sorry to ramble on, there are thousands of men who would happily swap places with me, PC wise I mean of course. I am seriously thinking of getting some councelling, as I don't want to spend the next 6 weeks or so worrying daily about a blood test result. Hope you all can have a great 2020!

Sounds as if things are going pretty well for you. I finished my RT in March 2019. My last PSA test (October) was 2.0, so not too dissimilar to yours.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hmm. 6 monthly PSA any day now. I've timed it so it's just before the next Sustanon injection in case that helps. Also no sex etc for a few days as it can raise the level. So, 7.4 to 3.1 then 2.9. Six months later hopefully a more significant drop this time! No reason why not, my mind tries to convince me. We shall see .....

Well, it was 2.7 this time. Another small drop but nobody is concerned. It seems that the trend is the important thing. Seeing Dr on Thursday.
