Impossible to say. Chemo may provide relief only whilst it is being undertaken. Daft to think in terms of years with advanced PCa. Sorry, Bose. Your Dad may be lucky but there are no certainties. My PSA rose immediately docetaxel was stopped

Don’t be too pessimistic. Median survival on Chaarted and Stampede trials, for advanced PC treated with ADT plus docetaxel, was 5 years. Once effects of first line treatment wear off, several other treatments are available.
