after three bouts in hospital, one with diarrhoea (bloody), one with constant vomiting and one with a major fall We thought it was the beginning of the end. However my husband’s oncologist paid a bedside visit today to relate the good news that after his six doses of Docetaxel the tumours and lymph have reduced, however his PSA has risen from 8 to 21.
The not so good news is that the chemotherapy has taken its toll with neuropathy and his mobility is compromised hence the fall, so the hospital won’t discharge him until they sort out whether or not he can live safely at home. They’re organising a team to visit and they have a support team for a couple of weeks.
just hoping we can sort out his digest system so that he can regain his strength and mobility before the nex treatment regime.
