Blood in urine today

Good evening.

I had my biopsy done on 10 September, which is just under 2 weeks ago. I recovered quickly and only saw blood in my very first urination once since the biopsy.

However, today I noticed a little bit of blood (not a lot) in my urine today despite the fact that my urine has been blood-free since that one time.

Is this normal? I am concerned...

Not keen on the word "normal" but I think it is right to say it happens frequently. Pink semen is also a frequent occurrence and may last for a few weeks.

If in doubt speak to your medical team.

Thanks Chris

It can take a while for the blood in your prostate caused by the biopsy to work its way out, so I wouldn't be too concerned. I had two biopsies and on both occasions I'd get quite heavy bleeding in my urine if I had to "strain" during a bowel movement (which I guess probably squeezes the prostate). Bleeding to a small extent lasted nearly a month for me on both occasions.
