Recently diagnosed one of 3 brothers all diagnosed at he same time. Gleason 7 PSA 8, localised had MRI and bone scan confirmed localised. met with the Oncologist today recommending hormone treatment with hi dosage brachytherapy followed by external beam radiotherap? Meet with surgeon next week? Feeling confused.

Oh and you and your brothers should all now get a form from the chemist and ask your GP to sign it - you are entitled to free prescriptions

Sounds like you are exploring all options if you are seeing a surgeon too. Try and read up on the pros and cons of all the treatments and use this knowledge to quiz the specialists that you are seeing. Ultimately only you can make the decisions, just try and endure its a fully informed decision.

Boy hasnt time flown, we are now 19th  February 2019, back in October 2018 I elected to have tge prostate removed Robotic Surgery. 

I have no regrets concerning my choice and am recovering really well. I have remained positive throughout and looked to increase activity when I felt upto it.

Did you and your brothers all opt for surgery, or choose different treatment options?
