its now 10 months since my RP (i was 54 when i had the op) and although the surgeon said he was able to spare both nerve bundles there has been absolutely nothing yet.

I have used a pump regularly and have tried cialis and viagra over a few months with no effect at all.

Should there be something happening after 10 months, with everything i have read i get the impression things should be starting to return by now?

My incontinence cleared up after about 7 months so i should be happy about that but when i was first told that both nerves had been spared i was overjoyed, but now beginning to lose hope. I know 10 months is not that long, but i was really expecting something by now.

Can I ask if you are married or have a partner , because both Cialis and Viagra only work if you are visually and or physically stimulated. For instance at 3 1/2 yrs post op I am fully functioning but still have troubles to masturbate solo to be fair.

Do you get any engorgement at all, even with the pump?

The longer it goes on without any reaction at all to the tablets the less likely there is to be any improvement. On the other hand, if you get some reaction then it could still improve in the next year or so.

I think it is time to go back to the ED nurse to discuss injections, pellets and cream .

I had nerve sparing one side. I cant remember exactly for sure but I think at about 10 months I would have had just some occaisional feeling of a stiring like it might happen. Gradually things have improved and still are very slowly after two years.
Like Chris arousal is more difficult but now I am up to over 50% pre op.

I use a cheap pump from amazon up to three times a day but sometimes just once, tadalafil 5mg daily with anything from 50 to 100mg Sildenafil for a boost (I am prescribed 100mg and cut them as required).

I'm not giving up on further improvement yet.

Keep at it and good luck.

Cheers

Thanks for the replys

yes married (14 years) and yes, stimulated and excited 🙂 just no reaction 😢

The pump works but once removed it very quickly looses it, and even faster when i lie down.

I guess i was expecting a slow improvement, rather than it returning all of a sudden, i assume thats right?

i have to be honest i’m not good with injections in my arms so not keen about trying those, but will consider other options.

currently im just seeing my GP which i’m beginning to think is a mistake, but i suppose i was filled with confidence at the beginning so didnt think i’d need that much help.

I feel a liitle better now Bill that you started to get some reaction after a similar time frame, so will continue and hope for the best

Cheers

If you can engorge but it doesn't stay, you are not using a tight enough ring. Try different sizes or a combination of 2. Although we had the Osbon Erecaid Esteem, John found that he had more success with the Farnhurst rings than the Osbon ones. Trial and error should solve your problem.
