I am now 64 years old. I was diagnosed with localised prostate cancer (Gleason 6 ) in 2011.
PSA was up and down but following MRI and biopsy in the summer of 2017 I had a Gleason 8 and elected for a combined therapy. This comprised 2 years of bicalutamide (ongoing), 5 weeks of conventional radiotherapy followed by a HRD Brachytherapy.
I had the Brachytheraphy in mid March 2018 and was back at work within a couple of days
I would have imagined my recovery to be unremarkable, but:
1. In early July I started have pain first in one and the in both of my Achilles tendons. I completed a long distance walk in September which helped a bit but I still have the issue.
2. I have recently been experiencing increased urgency in relation to both urination and
3. Am also experiencing really painful burning sensation when peeing.
I have not been taking Tamsulosin for a few days and that does not seem to help.
My PSA is presently 0.39 which seems OK so long as it continues to fall.
Any helpful suggestions in relation to any of the 3 symptoms/ side effects would be appreciated.
