I had a partial nerve-sparing prosatectomy nine months ago. My continence is fine, I can acheive a muted dry orgasm, but there is no sign of tumescence (except when defecating), despite a 5 mg daily dose of Tadalafil.
I have yet to order the penis pump - do they make a tube short enough? Reminds me of the condom company who made nodders in different sizes, like all other forms of clothing. The XXS size was called ’Trim’!
Anyway, I saw an ED nurse who suggested Alprostadil in the Muse application - pellet down the pipe, or Caverject - jab in the knob. Neither appealed.
Thanks to this forum, and our dear Matron Kierkegaard in particular, I learned of a topical application of Alprostadil in the form of drops, called Vitaros. I hastened to my GP, wondering why the ED clinic had never mentioned it. In fact the GP had never heard of it either.
He said he would have to remove my standing😉 prescription for Tadalafil.
Anyway, I returned from the chemist with 4 x 3 mg Alprostadil syringes. The idea is to squirt the tiny dose into the opening of the urethra on the glans (the eye of the trouser snake) and massage the rest onto the bell-end.
Nothing at all happened for twenty minutes, but then I felt a throbbing (not in a good way, like before my operation) and the laziest of lazy lobs resulted, no good to man nor beast. The paperwork says the painful side effect is common in more than one in ten men.
The throbbing went away after about an hour.
Anyone want the other three tubes?😉
Back on Cialis. Up to two years for erectile nerves to recover, did you say? We live in hope.
Cheers, John.
