Kegal8

I had the surgery back in October 2018 and I’m still leaking quite badly. I was recommended to try the men’s kegal8 machine to strengthen my pelvic muscles. Can you give me your thoughts on them please

thanks in advance

Sticking an electric shock probe up your arse - could be fun!!

I think they work - but have you exhausted all the other options yet? I know I was leaky until I started to see the incontinence nurse, as soon as I had the first appointment it sorted itself out!

Hi Francij1

Thanks for the advice I’ve just made an appointment at the Doctors, unfortunately I haven’t been offered an appointment with the incontinence nurse. Hopefully it will work as sticking an electric probe up my arse isn’t my first choice plus with no prostrate now it probably won’t be much fun 😂

When do you leak? All the time? Are you dry at night but not during the day?

I can get to the loo but usually after I’ve started leaking.
I leak more during the day than at night.

Also before being diagnosed I had no problems in either peeing or erections.
Now I can pee like a full on hose. Is that normal ?

Yes it is quite common for urination to be much easier after surgery - they have removed the bit that was causing delays and slow flow even if you weren't aware that you had slow flow.

If you are dry at night but not during the day, it seems your pelvic floor needs further work. If you leak during the night, it isn't as simple as just doing your pelvic floor exercises. When is your next appointment with the surgeon?
