I hate PSA

Well 1 year since my last PSA test which was 0.024 and it's 0.031 this time.

Urologist says they are effectively the same reading and I have had 0.030 before (18 months ago). So he says see you in 12 months I and I think it should be good news but I am starting to think I won't do supersensitive next time! He confirmed agreement with the Onco that they would not look at further treatment unless it got to 0.1.

I also asked about my pathology as a G3+3 T3a is very unusual. He agreed to get me a second opinion - fingers crossed it doesn't change or gets down graded to a T2.

So that's it for another year.

Oh and I get to see the hip guy about a new hip on Thursday.

Super-sensitive assay? <0.1 ‘undetectable? Ignorance is bliss!

Due for another PSA test later this week. If it’s OK I’ll switch to four-monthly intervals.

Best of luck with the new hip. I’ve a mate who had both done at the same time!

Cheers, John

Yes there is something in ignorance being bliss.  Then there's 12 months between appointments and do you think it's too long or bliss. Yes I look forward to 12 months next time but might ask for 9.  As one worry fades you think of another. For you Francij1 you let loose your staging concern.

All the best and with the hip.
