Better or worse after stopping Zoladex

Hi Everyone

It is only a few weeks since I finished my Zoladex injections after nearly three years.

This may sound strange but I am convinced my hot flushes are getting worse.

Is it likely to get worse before it gets better?

I have never heard anyone mentioning this

Any experience of this?

Your body’s hormonal balance is starting to change now you’ve finished HT. It wouldn’t be at all surprising if that change resulted in side-effects.

Best wishes,

Chris

I agree with Chris, but also consider it's the time of year when temperatures are all over the place, and it's easy to be wearing the wrong stuff - 'late spring' (not the calendar, but the fact!) was always my worst time. I had my last does of Zoladex in November (2017), so my levels started falling during February; I didn't have a similar problem.

Ok. Thanks guys.

You could both be right.

I think it is more likely to be the weather because it has only been 3 weeks since the endspan of the last injection.

I can’t imagine anything changing that quickly.

Hi,

I finished my Zoladex treatment in August 2016 but it was June/July 2017 before my testosterone returned to a normal level.

Unfortunately I'm back on it now and will be for life.
