Hi. I have been to see urologist today as am in acute retention after 2 failed visits to ambulatory ward. He says that after MRI results they need to check pelvic lymph nodes which show signs of swelling , via CT scan, with referral to haematologist. I asked about Turps operation but he thought prostate was too enlarged and might not be successful. I asked about other laser alternatives but was told they did not have facilities, so I asked about urolift , which he thought might be an option. I am only 65 and don’t relish the prospect of having a catheter in for thr the rest of my life. Has any else had experience of this procedure?
