My husband Sean is currently in hospital (again bless him) with bad pain from the cancer spread to his bones, which is extensive. Hoping it will be sorted soon as they adjust his medication, and give him a blast of radiotherapy.
He started on Abiraterone a month ago, he's had docetaxel which worked for a while, then cabazitaxel, which didn't. Prior to starting the abi, his PSA was 135. Consultant came to the ward today and informed us that his PSA is currently 1200.
I don't really have a question, I know that this is terribly high, and that his prognosis won't be great. Just sharing the pain really. Consultant did say that it can take a while for the abi to start work, but I would have thought a month would be long enough.
