Timescales around Xmas.

Two weeks ago I had pains down one leg, right inside my bones, thought nothing of it, but 3 days later I stopped having any pressure in my wee. Managed to get in docs that day who tested my urine and felt my prostrate, it was slightly enlarged. Got prescribed tamsulosin which had helped the pressure come back and got blood tests taken a week later. They called back within a day as my psa is 12. Have seen a urology specialist nurse who is sending me for a MRI and biopsy. With it being near Xmas do I need these casing out sooner rather than later as I'm now getting pains around my kidneys areas.

Sounds typical of BPH (enlarged benign prostate) - the tamsulosin should start to work quickly but you may also have a bit of infection if you haven't been emptying your bladder fully. Pain around the kidneys is not a recognised sign of prostate cancer so no urgency for the appointment but it is right to see a specialist for a thorough assessment.
