Has anyone had success taking meds for night sweats and, if so, what is the name of the medicine?

I don't think there is any medicine but many people find that sage tablets (from health food shops or large supermarkets) help. Some regions offer acupuncture to men on HT; in Leeds this was done through Macmillan but the project was stopped recently.

Re-sage tabs. I agree. As during my various treatments I too have suffered from horrendous night sweats.
Now it seems to come and go so I’m hoping that the sage is helping there?
