Finally, my catheter is out!

After almost 4 months, to allow time for the leak in my new urethra/bladder joint to heal, my catheter was removed yesterday morning. The bladder tests were both OK & my Nurse Specialist will be "handling" any incontinence and ED support going forward.

Got home by midday & was going to the loo every 20 min, by 5pm that went to every 30mins, by 11pm every 2 hours. I got a good night's sleep (with 2 trips before 7am) So far I have been completely dry, that includes going for a walk this morning. I honestly can't believe it! I just hope it stays like this (I'm almost waiting for it to go wrong)

My Consultant Mr S, has been true to his word & I have an appointment for Thursday 13th, to discuss the next phase of treatment. I have a PSA test booked for Monday morning. Suddenly, it's all go again. Watch this space.

Brilliant news. I suspect that was a bit sore after a month. Hope the good progress continues :-)
