just for info only as I have posted elsewhere here the details of my experience of having the SpaceOAR Hydrogel inserted. I checked my insurance claim today which keeps me updated on what has been claimed and paid for. This may help anyone thinking of having this done privately and those who may not have insurance.
I had my pre-op exam on 13/02/2020: Cost £606.70
Gold Markers and SpaceOAR Hydrogel insertion under General Anaesthetic 14/02/2020 Cost:
Anaesthetist - £300
Procedures - £6814.07
I started 20 sessions of RT yesterday so will see how the side effects progress in time. A spot of lunch now and off to Glasgow for 2nd RT this afternoon.
