I have my treatment in France and I have a chest Catheter. I’m on Taxotera and I’ve just had my 5th treatment of 6 . My last treatment on Friday could not be given via the port as it has a pocket infection. I see the surgeon tomorrow and I expect it will be removed this week . It is there intention I think to put a new one on the other side . I went on Friday and the chemo could not be administered via the port so they put it through a vein in my left hand . Am I correct in saying is it worth having a new chest under the skin port fitted for just one treatment at this stage . I’m concerned I may be reacting to the port itself.
