Chest hurting like crazy. Not that short of breath. Passed large blood clots. Very worried

Mets in the ribs? Tumour growing and pressing on the diaphragm? What kind of hurting like crazy and which bit of your chest?

Blood clots when coughing? Blood clots in the toilet?

Bazza, my chest hurts when my wife walks up and down wearing stilettos. What I'm trying to say is that it may not in itself be PCa related. Same with the clots, is it because of something else? Please see your GP or the equiv. in France.

Hope both diminish anyway.

Bazza, is there a palliative care service and if so, have you been referred to them?

Lyn, blood clots in urine due to cancer infiltration at the point where the urethra goes into the bladder. Have episodic pains which are terrible for days then get a little better. Clear urine for weeks then rose one day only. V strange. Chest is due to an infection but not Covid I feel. No mets in ribs. Just slight signal on T8. Evidence of issues with the mesentry whatever that is. There is some form of visiting nurse care and I am just getting acquainted with that bandwagon now. Lost my dad last week, 87, heart failure, glad he didn’t suffer and it was quick.

Sorry to see about your dad, Bazza. As for your own situation, do you think this is the final stage or the start of the final stage? The mesentery is a web-like structure that holds everthing in place in your abdomen. What pain relief are you getting?

Remember what Spurspark used to say, "it ain't over till the fat lady sings" so I hope that la grosse dame is still in rehearsals and not planning on singing just yet.

I have oromorph 20mg and take between 30-40mg up to three times a day when pain is bad. Less or nothing when it’s not so bad. How do you know if it’s final stage or start if final stage? And to think I used to get anxious when my PSA went from 0.06 to 0.1! Wow, if I only knew what lay ahead.....

Bazza,

I've never felt I could contribute usefully to your threads, but I have always followed you. You were in my thoughts particularly when we didn't hear from you for some time, and you still are. Thinking of you and your wife at this time.

Hi Bazza,

I had similar symptoms a couple of weeks ago. Shortness of breath, lack of energy and passing clots. Lived with it for a week then got muchbworst. Call specialist nurse, then ambulance. Turned out to be clots on the lungs.

Not saying it is but just in case.
