Hi,

just joined and am 7 weeks after prostate and one set of nerves removed.

I have read that a pump will help with a firmer erection .

Due to no clinics at the moment , can you get a pump elsewhere from g.p and do you recommend it.

I saw my GP in the first instance where he referred to Urology and from there my GP was given the advice on what to prescribe me.

My situation is different from yours as I am in hormone therapy - not had prostate removal. It certainly works though with no need for tablets, creams or injections. It takes a bit of getting used to at first though.

A professional pump called Somaerect Response can be bought online at imedicare.com for around £160. You need a pump like this if you want to attempt penetration as it comes with quality rings. I don’t think you should do anything till at least 10 weeks or on Uro advice.

If you go to Lovehoney.com and get a very simple pump for around £15 this will be perfectly ok just for ‘ exercising’ the old fella twice a day. Just create the vacuum and hold for 10 minutes each time. I have amazing recovery 5 yrs on but STILL use my pump 3 times a week !!

Good luck
