It's a known side effect.
Hormone therapy can generate some exaggerated emotions. This varies considerably between people. Not everyone is impacted, and it varies which emotions are impacted. Some people can suddenly find themselves tearful. I can easily lose control of my sense of humour, and have ended up laughing at things I shouldn't have done publicly.
The [Macmillan?] cancer centre in your hospital probably runs some relaxation courses and courses to deal with the emotional side of cancer, at least when coronavirus isn't around. You might want to ask there what's available.
