Another interaction between COVID-19 and cancer treatment has come to light, albeit in a very small sample size. It seems that patients who recently underwent chemotherapy and then caught COVID-19 (and survived) have failed to generate any COVID-19 antibodies. This would suggest that chemotherapy might prevent any long term immunity from a COVID-19 infection which follows a month or so afterwards. This may also suggest that a vaccine might not work within such a window.
