Type of MRI....does it matter?

As my husband has had TRUS biopsies, G8, and a clear bone scan does it matter which type of MRI he has? His letter states MRI pelvis, no mention of mpMRI.
I’m wondering if they only do the mpMRI pre biopsies so they have a clearer picture of where to take samples from? Does it matter?? As appointment isn’t for another week it gives me a chance to make enquiries if I think he should definitely be having an mpMRI.

Thanks if you can put my mind at rest 🌹

I am not sure it makes a great deal of difference since you already have positive biopsies. I certainly wouldn't want to delay the scan this week to hold out for something different, particularly as it is unlikely to change the treatment options.
