Yes 10!weeks post op is normally safe but only with consultants advice. Make it your new best friend and use it every day even if only for 10 mins. Only use rings if you want to try penetration. If not just poke him in there each day and get him as hard as you can and hold. Then deflate. Repeat etc. Iā€™m 5 yrs on and have great natural function with daily Cialis. But I still use the pump 3 times a week. It just became a habit whilst I shaved.

Definitely not before your post-OP check up or phone appointment with the surgeon. You can ask about starting with a pump then.

Don't try hard to start with either, getting blood again is a bit of a shock! So build up gradually!

If you look at the stitches in your stomach, there are wounds healing just the same inside.   Damaging them can cause longer term problems.   No stress on the wounds for 2 to 3 months I'd recommend although some people do what they want to do.

How is it going now, after a couple of months? I think it was great that you were onto it so early in your process. My surgeon (surgery in Feb) was really unhelpful and I had to find resources myself, now getting great help from a pelvic floor specialist.

I am nearly six months post surgery, and three months since I got a pump, and celebrating at last reaching the point where my wife and I were able to have penetrative sex again (with the help of the pump and ring). It is still more of a promise than a reality - I find the erection easily fades still in spite of the ring. But it feels good to be connected again.
