Hi - Paul’s (63) now 4 weeks post-op after robotic nerve sparing RP at Guys Cancer Centre. No symptoms, randomly picked up with tests for stomach problems and luckily GP sent him for MRI. Father had at 72 & mother had stomach cancer; so family cancer history.

G4+3 left-side only - op originally booked for Mar20 which bloody COVID delayed until Sep20. Went on Bicalutamide during op delay period - not great cos of side efffects but felt necessary. Op v successful - frozen biopsy done whilst still on table - surgeon happy spared all nerves. Catheter in for 2 weeks - which we survived 😂. Incontinence NIL & some involuntary erections (not tried sex yet - think he wants permission from surgeon 😀). Surgeon follow-up 9/10/20 with full histology.  Fingers crossed for no surprises 🤞
Paul & I talk all the time about ED, etc., which is the key to getting through this.

Will you have to phone the surgeon every time you feel a bit randy? Make sure you have his home number in case your old man gets a hard on about three am!😉

Best of luck.

Cheers, John.
