Dementia and advanced prostrate

Hi. Looking for some advice.  Dad had been on prostrap inj for a year. He now had vascular dementia and alzheimers. His psa has risen to 8 (went from 102 to 0.6) was told it wasn't as effective and put on bicalutamide 3 months ago. Psa is now 18.8.

Spoke to oncology, memory clinic and gp and not getting a clear plan infact getting increasingly worried that there might not be one.

Does anyone have any advice what to expect?. ,Tia jackie

They may stop the bicalutimide in the hope of getting a withdrawal response. The next step would usually be chemo and / or enzalutimide or abiraterone but because of your dad's other health conditions, there will need to be careful consideration of quality of life v risk and cost.
