Whole Gland HI FU

I'm wondering if anyone has had HI FU on the whole prostate, or even three quarters of it?

I know focal HI FU is normally for single cells, and seems to be offered on NHS for this, but what about whole gland?

has anyone gone through this treatment?

If so, what is your experience?

Full gland not done so much these days as HIFU found to give better results where tumour is small and preferably on one side. (In any event, it can't really be fully full gland because there are parts the business end of the probe can't focus on). If cancer is so extensive it is now more usual to accept a more radical treatment such as Prostatectomy or Radiation is more appropriate.

It is possible that another type of HIFU might be able to treat the entire gland. This is called Tulsa Pro where the probe enters through the ureter rather than the rectum. However, it's a fairly recent development and I understand is not yet available in the UK and little follow up as yet. http://www.profoundmedical.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Phase1ResultsPresentationFUS_London2015_pdf.pdf
