Open RP on 1/3/2021 All went ok

TWOC on 8/3/2021 - All good pretty much dry within 48 hours

Doing really well very mobile and walking each day .
no painkillers or other medication apart from the daily blood thinning injections.

Urine has been a normal wee colour for the last 10 days now, not a bit of red. Until this evening, last 2 wee’s have both started off quite red then very quickly turned a normal colour. No pain and still weeing ask normal

is this normal? Or do I I need to contact my nurse specialist tomorrow?

Walked 4 1/2 miles today and stupidly maybe not drunk as much as I have been doing So I’ve maybe overdone it ??
thanks

I was still passing traces of blood and debris around six or seven weeks after robotic surgery.  Typically I would pass a little blood either at the start of the stream or at the end of the stream. Probably the scab dissolving.

The exercise and lack of fluids may have contributed to the issue.

As always if in doubt get in touch with your medical team.

Thanks Chris

Philip,

My op was in mid February and I had exactly the same as you. I believe it is as a result of the clot breaking down - a sign that the healing is going to plan. My bleeding only lasted a few days.

I would say that’s normal and give it another couple of weeks. If you are really concerned you could phone the MacMillan nurse, but they’ll probably tell you the same as we have done here!
Cheers, John.
