Tactics to fight gas!

User

So, I have started RT and have had 4 sessions out of my scheduled 20. However the last two were distinctly difficult as gas and possible poo made it touch and go as to being able for the procedure to go ahead. With a couple of farts we made it!
The Prostap 3 has made me windy anyway and I had Bowel surgery in September 2020 which has complicated matters. They have prescribed me Mintec peppermint oil capsules to hopefully reduce the gas.

Questions...

What shouldn’t you eat?

What should you eat?

Any tips for eating schedules? Appointments are morning or afternoon....

Any other advice?

Apart from this glitch I’m doing fine, running 5k every other day and no adverse reactions touch wood

Any help/advice gratefully received

Were you given a diet sheet? Gassy things that almost everyone is told to cut out during RT include:
- fizzy drinks
- beer
- cabbage, broccoli, etc
- baked beans

You might be as well to also cut out:
- bran, brown bread
- pulses
