Tamoxifen Side Effects

Hi,

Just over 14 months since the HT started and whilst it is having a good result in keeping the cancer at bay the side effects especially of the Tamoxifen are causing issues. Usually within 24 hours of taking the Tamoxifen ( taken twice weekly) he suffers intense itching and needles of pin prick pain. Just wondered if anyone else has had this and what if anything you did to combat it.

Some days you just have to create your own sunshine......

That's interesting. I too had intense itching in my lower legs when I was on bicalutimide and tamoxifen, but I (perhaps wrongly) associated it with the HT. I was taking 10mg of Tamoxifen daily.

I sorted it by getting a steroid skin cream from my GP. Completely solved the problem.
