When to start ADT

Hi just read this and found it really interesting re ADT following failed radical treatment:

Does ADT actually bring any benefit for non metastatic  disease (defined as undetectable by conventional imaging)?

Seems to vindicate Chris's approach to ADT.

Interesting article.

When my primary treatment came to an end RT plus 2 years ADT. I asked this forum what questions I should ask at the meeting with the oncologist. One was "when will BCF be defined?", "if PSA reaches 2.1" was the answer. The other was "when would treatment start?" the answer was "it depends, probably about 10". I was a bit surprised at such a big gap, but I was a bit more naive back then.

I can definitely see that once primary treatment has failed and salvage treatment has failed, it is just a case of managing things, and not starting ADT until there is a problem needing treating is a good idea.

Every treatment is only effective for a limited timespan, so it's all about determining what the optimum time is for each.
