Thank you all.I am 4 weeks post Robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci .Operation was a success my specialist said.Had little discomfort in abdomen area, it is slowly fading. However I get some discomfort , kind of burning /pain/discomfort sensation deep in my rectum area. Is that normal? Roughly how long would it take to heal this? Is ti something to be alarmed  of?

Thank you again.this is a very helpful blog. Stay blessed stay safe guys

Think four to six weeks. Check the robotic perforation wounds on your abdomen, if they are not completely healed, don’t expect your innards to be healed either.

If you still have discomfort after a couple of weeks, go back to your surgeon or designated nurse.

Best of luck.

Cheers, John.

Hi , I had Rob Assis in March and had similar probs as yourself but it slowly disapeared but is not the sme as before the op . As my partner keeps telling me this op is not like a tag mole removal it is major surgary and could take a while to get back to a NEW normal at the moment I have E-D and it may take a while for this to improve but we are alive and life is as good as YOU live it.

Good Luck
