Has anyone had a catheter accidentally sutured to their urethera during a prostatectomy.
If so how was it resolved. It is supposedly quite rare.
How long do the uretheral sutures take to dissolve.
Thanks Chris

Thankfully not my problem but it did raise a question.
A guy went to have his catheter out post surgery and they can't get it out. Apart from the first one my numerous Catheters have always slid out. The guys problem is not the balloon. He has to wait a week before they have another go.
Sounds painful!
Is it possibly due to swelling and bruising perhaps?
Lexi
It could be, apparently the nurse said it was only the second time in over 22 years she had failed to remove a catheter.
