PSA 'bounce'

Just had my 12 month review after radiotherapy. Initially my PSA score was 0.03 6 months ago and now 0.19

Has anyone else heard of the PSA bounce where I'm told it can go up slightly between 12 months and 2 years and then level off, or should I get another test?

Were you on ADT? If so coming off that will be allowing your PSA to rise to its new normal level. Quite honestly those figures are so low I would not be in the least bit worried. The RT actually takes 18 months to be fully effective so you have not stabilised from that yet. If your PSA stays below 2.0 no one should be worried.

PSA can sometimes jump around during and after RT - think of it as the cancer cells screaming as they die

Yes am still on ADT. Consultant says possibly caused by Prostatitis, just wondered if others had a slight increase whilst still on ADT
