Getting rid of Blood in semen

. I wonder if ejaculating more often will help speed up the blood dissapearing. Or does it make any difference?

My understanding is that if you regularly ejaculate after having biopsy then the blood in the semen dissapears quicker than if you don't. It took nearly 11 weeks after my first biopsy but only a couple of weeks after my second.

Only one way to find out!

As long as you aren't seeing bright red blood everything's fine. By a couple of weeks after your biopsy it should be the colour of brown sauce - dead blood cells, basically. And yes, the more often you ejaculate, the more quickly it'll go.

Best wishes,

Chris

It's a good idea to try and get it out. If you fail to get it all out and the body fails to reabsorb it, and later need MRI scans, the resulting iron oxide left from the breakdown of the blood is magnetic and can interfere with detailed MRI scans of the prostate.

Have more orgasms, as if you undergo surgery, you might not have any more!.

Best of luck.

Cheers, John.
