Radium 223 Hospitals

Hi All,

My dad has advanced metastatic prostate cancer.  He completed 10 rounds of Docetaxel in August last year for the cancer in his bones but this doesn't appear to have worked very well as he has started feeling pain in his spine and ribs again.  His oncologist wants him to start Radium 223 but has told him that he may well have to travel all the way to Brighton for this as she's not sure that any hospitals in Kent offer the Radium 223.  Does anyone know of any hospitals close to Maidstone or Medway hospitals that offer Radium 223 so that they can be put to the oncologist as alternatives to having to drive all the way down to Brighton?

Might be worth contacting NHS England.

Maidstone hospital has had Radium 223 for years - I think they were involved in the original pilot. If it isn’t currently available, that might be a COVID thing?
