Prostate lesion, biopsy and itching

My dad is 81 and he had severe eczema and itching since august'21. Then multiple issues we noted after that.

His diagnosis isn't complete yet, but he has these symptoms: unbearable itching all over the body, no sleep, weight loss, muscle weakness, memory loss, low sodium

His IgE went up as high as 2350 and its fallen to 943 now. His PSA is 5.43 ng/mL and his PET CT initially picked up enlarged prostate and some suspicious neoplastic activity in prostate. Rest of his body were all clear.

For itching, we saw an Immunologist who ran multiple blood test including allergy tests. He has no allergy profile but his ANA was found to be POSITIVE 1+.

We saw an Uro Oncologist and per his recommendation did Prostate MRI too. Per report, his PI-RADS 4 and suggest biopsy correlation.

My question is - he is frustrated visiting so many specialists dermatologists, geriatrician, haemato oncologist, uro oncologist and done so many tests that he doesnt want to do biopsy now.  Can he afford to take a break for 4-5 weeks?

Also, what can he do to find some relief for itching? He applies moisturizers 3-4 times a day and anti histamines do not work. He is on anti depressants but does not sleep well.

I think you probably need to join some kind of eczema forum, not a prostate cancer forum.

As far as the slightly high PSA and pirads score are concerned they are not very worrying. With all the other things going on, a wait of a few weeks or even a few months is unlikely to let the cancer if it exists spread further. None of his symptoms are caused by prostate cancer.

If he has prostate cancer and no metastasis it would be very unlikely to kill him within five years, but something else might. So you have to think whether treatment for a slow growing cancer is worth bothering with.
