Sleep, testes and immune defficiency

Please, if you are on hormone treatment and sleeping less than you did before, listen/watch this Ted talk by prof. Matt Walker:

Sleep, the brain and ageing

From the opening words of this talk there's plenty to consider. Men with smaller testes [read many of us 😀] will not sleep as well as those with larger testicles.

Lack of sleep is equivalent to premature ageing! [I can identify with that]

Lack of sleep messes with the brain so as to hinder the laying down of memory.

Lack of sleep seriously diminishes our ability to maintain a strong immune system AND as a result, our ability to fight cancer.

Lack of sleep here doesn't necessarily mean that you are feeling dog tired but losing an hour's sleep a night has more consequences than just feeling a bit tired.

Above summary is totally inadequate but you get the drift. For me, while I understand the value of ADT [Zoladex in my case] this talk gives backing to the idea that if you're doing well in post RT HT treatment, there's very good reasons to get out earlier than might be considered standard practice.
