Hi All

A new member and introducing myself.

My father had prostate cancer (had it removed) and recently I had some symptoms, which I am in the early throws of GP investigation.

Hi Nesty,

You are doing the right thing in investigating possibility of PCa as due to your father having had it, your risk of having it is increased. It's generally a raised PSA or abnormal DRE done by GP that leads to an appointment with Urology but in your case symptoms may also be a consideration although the latter do not necessary mean you have PCa.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Barry

Many thanks for the message.

I shall raise this at the next appointment.

I have listed a fuller story of my recent issues in the 'worried about symptoms' forum, as I could have Prostatitis.
