Swimming?

Hi All

So today I am 12 weeks post RALP and have been dry now for 10 days give or take a couple of days.

From everyone’s personal experience, when do you think swimming could be fitted in to my daily walking? I don’t mean going mad doing butterfly but more of breaststroke. I know that I am still healing on the inside and will be a while but feeling well in myself.

Steve,

I would have thought gentle backstroke or crawl would be fine by this stage.

That's the key to it, Steve. Listen to what your body tells you and take a break when it says "I've had enough!".

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks P. I saw the physio today and she agrees and thinks I should be all ok as long as I listen to my body and stop if it is sore.

Swimming is a great activity, which helps all your body. It is important not to try to swim as fast as possible - swim for feeling nice after
