Hi everyone,

I have just recently registered to create my own March for Men sponsored 5 mile walk, I ordered supplies, Banner roll, lapel stickers, flags & wristbands etc, to highlight prostate cancer awareness, but my question is do we have to sell these items as well as raise sponsorship money, Or are these itams meant as giveaways?

I have no idea. This bit is the patients forum so it may be that no one from the charity will read this post.

BTW my personal opinion would be get as much of the resources out there and raise awareness, the goods are no good sitting in a draw hoping to be sold. If you manage to raise enough money from sponsorship to cover their costs, that's good it means it has cost the charity nothing to raise awareness. If you generate a surplus above the production costs even better I'm sure the charity can use the surplus funding research etc.
