Post prostatectomy PSA levels

Hi, I had a robotic radical prostatectomy last August 2021. Since then my PSA has risen from 0.01 to 0.04 and today the reading is 0.07. I’m really disappointed and worried in equal measure. Has anyone else experienced this and are there any positive outcomes re radiotherapy. To complicate matters I have CLL a chronic blood cancer which does not require treatment at the moment. Not sure how worried I should be!

Lots of threads on here about this topic including my own profile.

Make sure you get a referral to an oncologist and read up on modern options for a recurrence.

Moderately common. Slow rise from a low start implies a few cells still left in prostate bed. RT has about a 70% success rate. So you shouldn't be too worried.

If RT fails then after a few years the cancer may need hormone therapy and then later chemo, but I would think even in a worst case scenario you will still be alive in a decade.
