I'm G9(4+5) t3ba no mo and had a bone scan. In the letter from consultant to GP it looks like the plan will be HT then EBRT and HDR brachytherapy. I have a meeting on Friday and wondered what questions to ask. Plus should I be hopeful that this is best route and may keep me around for a few years yet? TiA

Yes you should be hopeful- they have put you on a curative path.

You could ask how the onco will decide when to do the RT/brachy .... will it be after a set number of months or when your PSA falls below a specific level?

You can be pretty confident of a normal life-expectancy. As Lyn notes, you're on a curative treatment path, and success rates are excellent.

Best wishes,

Chris
