Ongoing PSA testing question

User

Just a quick question. It's now just over three months since my first post surgery PSA test. I was expecting to get a call back for another test by now. I am wondering whether this is something I need to set up with my GP (that would certainly be easier than travelling to the hospital) or whether it needs to be officially referred to my GP by the hospital. I can't give a definitive answer, but for me all the tests were done through the hospital for the first year. Given the NHS backlogs still around it may take a little more than three months for them to schedule things.

Mine were always arranged by my NHS Oncologist.

Hi Chris - To date I've always requested a blood test form to be mailed out to me via my (oncology) specialist nurse, and then arranged the blood test myself at my usual GP Practice.
