Hi All

Update time....A long 2 days at Royal Marsden London, had nuclear medicine, contrast dye, steroids, cabizitaxel and more pumped into me and too boot a 5hr drive home!!!but I'm back to tell the tale.

All bloods are in the green only red/white blood cells are abnormal which is to be expected...OH and PSA is abnormal but down from roughly 345 at end of March to 193 today...at least it's going down....for now.

No what to expect over the coming days with steroid crash, metal mouth and fatigue but hopefully this time next week I'll be back in action.

Will update again on next infusion with test results of MRI,full body x-ray and CT scan, unless they contact me earlier with abnormalities with them!!!but I'm hoping not.

Take care all...Phil.

Hi Phil. Good to hear you survived another session at the RM. Hope the side effects aren’t too bad. Metal mouth is the worst thing ever…!

Good to see your PSA dropped . Hopefully the scans all show good news.

See my oncologist next Thursday. Fingers crossed my PSA has stayed down… Considering I finished chemo in September I was expecting worse at this stage.

So take care buddy. Thinking of you πŸ‘

Hi all,quick update.

Another day in london done yesterday for 4th infusion of cabizitaxel, still feeling on a bit of a high with intravenous steroids,so the next few days are usually the worst, scan & x ray results from my last visit 3 weeks ago were no "progression of disease"blood tests were all good,PSA i normally get in a few days time on the app.

Me and the wife got emotional at the consultation, but he's a good consultant who told me he's here to help and will do his upmost to keep me well, which reassured me.

It's a roller coaster 🎒 of a ride.all the best.

Phil

Hi Phil. You really are a trooper , not only having Cabazitaxel monthly but also having to travel down to London for it .

It’s good to hear you’ve got a good relationship with your consultant. That really helps. Sometimes you need a little outpouring of emotion or it all gets locked in.

Pleased to hear that so far the treatment is helping. Let’s hope that continues.

Take care, thinking of you πŸ‘

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the update, mate.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You and a few others on here, dealing with Stage 4 disease, yet still finding time to post to help others, are my cancer heros.
