Hi

I had a Prostate biopsy on the above date, though I am still having symptoms from the procedure, my semen is still blooded, the urine is ok, should I talk to my GP?

Thanks

Hi Nesty,

I’m sure others will come on to inform you better but I think if it’s a dark red/brown colour then it’s quite usual to be there for a few weeks. If it’s still a bright red then you would want to find out why.

best of luck with the results and hope all will be ok

Yes give it a bit more time, it should be fine.

Great news on the results 👍 and hopefully you’ll never need another one.

It can take many weeks for the blood to entirely disappear. As long as we're talking HP sauce (old blood) and not tomato ketchup (fresh blood) you're fine.

Cheers,

Chris

ok many thanks, yes it's a dark brown / red colour, ok I'll give it a few more weeks.

The results were all clear, which I am pleased about, but I wish not to repeat that procedure again too soon!

If in doubt always speak to your medical team, we can all give you our experiences but we are not your doctor.

Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,

Many thanks, I had to chuckle at that comment, as that is exactly it! Yes HP, no ketchup!
