I'm a week into recovery from a radical prostatectomy by daVinci machine. Still have catheter in and metal staples under dressings in the incisions
In next week for catheter removal. When do the staples come out and how painful is it?
OH had his staples removed after 10 days and he said it did not hurt and TWOC 13 days after da vinca. That was a very quick job
My staples and catheter came out together two weeks after open surgery
I thought robotic surgery and open surgery were mutually exclusive? I had robotic surgery, and did not have any staples. Then again what do I know!
It seems that it is a hospital or doctor preference if they use staples or stitches. Maybe the doctors using staples are not very good at sewing?
My staples came out after 11 days. Didn't feel a thing. Also had some stitches that dissolved.
