Call back

I have asked for a call back from the Specialist Nurse tomorrow to go over my results again before I have the bone scan on Tuesday and CT Scan on Weds. Given I was given a Gleason 9 (4+5) last Tuesday would the delay from diagnoses to having a treatment plan not increase more spread because of the delay or a break out of the cancer in the capsule? Another stupid worry I have is that I pulled my back muscle on my right side last Weds picking something up and felt it go but now thinking some of the twinges from that is the spread of PCa into my bones! I am not in any pain with it but occasionally I feel it twinge! Sorry for rambling!

It doesn't work like that - prostate cancer is very slow moving so a delay of a few weeks or even months wouldn't make much difference. Completely different diagnostic path to that of a brain tumour or pancreatic cancer, for example, where the diagnosis is done very quickly and treatment commenced asap because it can spread so fast.

Every twinge will bother you until you have the results of your scans, that's normal for someone who just found out they have cancer.
