Passing of my wonderful husband

Iain, sadly lost his fight on Sunday 2nd October 2022, peacefully at home with me and his two sons by his side. He fought so so hard.

We will forever be indebted to the general district nurses who supported us to have a loving, private and peaceful passing. 

Keep strong and make the most of every day. Love to you all . XX

In the last days and hours, he had the warm touch on his skin of people who loved him and the voices of those he loved most to reassure him. In time, the horror of your last few months will fade and you will be left with happier memories and the knowledge that he left this world gently.

I’m so so sad for you, your sons and all if those Iain touched throughout his life. This indiscriminate cancer accelerated awfully for you in the last year or so. In time you’ll be left comforted knowing you did everything to love, serve and be with him. Bless you x

I am so sorry Highland Lass

I haven't been on this site for a long time - lost my fabulous guy on 8/8/2020 after a nearly 10 year journey of prostate cancer and various treatments.

I know you will be feeling devastated and the next few weeks will be a blur but you will find strength from somewhere. Our men are so brave through this horrible disease.

I am so sorry to read your news about Iain Highland Lass.

I lost my wife (to Cerebellar Ataxia) aged 60 just a few weeks before my PC diagnosis after 15 years of caring for her. I can’t pretend to know how you are feeling but I know that the combination of family, really special close friends, and the online community of people who are grieving as well, have helped me.
